Be clear about what this does not do: it cannot restore detail the JPG already discarded, and the file will get considerably larger. It preserves what is there rather than improving it.

About JPG files
JPG (also written JPEG) has been the default photographic format since 1992 and remains the most universally supported image format in existence. It uses lossy compression tuned for photographs, discarding detail the human eye is least likely to notice. Every operating system, browser, printer, and photo kiosk on the market reads it without complaint.

Is there a file size or daily limit?
